Iran has produced some highly praised cinema in recent years. Often filmed on small budgets using real locations and non-actors these films are admired for their realist approach to sometimes controversial issues. This is a chance to see two recent examples of this type of cinema. The Apple and The Colour of Paradise are emotionally moving stories told with masterful restraint and made more powerful by exceptional performances and beautiful photography.
